Old Overholt 10 Year Old Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is the release that changed how whiskey drinkers think about America's oldest continuously produced whiskey brand. Founded in 1810 by Abraham Overholt in West Overton, Pennsylvania, Old Overholt survived Prohibition as a medicinal whiskey and is now made by Beam Suntory at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. In November 2023, Beam released this ten-year-old, uncut, unfiltered rye at 121 proof, and it sold out almost immediately.Breaking Bourbon rated it 4 out of 5, calling it a hefty rye that packs in high proof, a sizable age statement and big flavors. The reviewer found peanut brittle and boiled peanuts on the nose, the classic Beam signature, along with honey, caramel flan, spiced cherry and seasoned oak, then browned butter, brown sugar, allspice and cinnamon-stewed apple on a full-bodied palate, and a finish of dry oak, baking spice, white pepper and chocolate. It is bold enough for a Manhattan and complex enough to sip, and it drinks well above its price.Buy Old Overholt 10 Year Old Cask Strength Rye Whiskey online with fast shipping right to your door.
