Add to Your Inspiration｜Eventide Harmonizer Model H949 - pre-order｜ Other Products

One of our absolute favourite sound-mangling devices. Eventide Harmonizers were revolutionary when they first launched, and we think still sound amazing today. Tony Visconti famously told David Bowie and Brian Eno: “It fucks with the fabric of time! (describing the earlier H-910). We love what these high-quality, late 70s units do to even the simplest of sounds. Early digital gear is in a class all of its own and we are hooked.
NOTE: PHOTOS ARE OF ANOTHER UNIT WE JUST SOLD. We have another coming back from service soon. To reserve it please buy from this listing - photos will be sent before we ship - you will have the option to cancel the order if you're not happy with the condition.
See below for a quick Instagram demo when the synth tech put one through its paces while it was being serviced. It takes a simple beat from an old analogue drum machine and fires it into the space age. 40 years old and it still sounds like it has come from the future. And yes, Tony did immediately buy another so we could keep one in the studio.
If you want a good, concise run-down of what it does then this Eventide Harmonizer H949 page on Vintage Digital is a place to start. You can also find links to the manuals there.
This unit has been fully serviced and set up - this takes some time as even when they are not working as they should they can produce some wild effects.
Condition is good with some signs of age and rack rash.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
And here is the demo of one we had recently shredding the beat from a 70s Teisco R-3A Rhythmer drum machine:
