The name of Acer rubrum 'Fairview Flame' is very much deserved. In autumn, the pyramidal, flame-like shape is lit up in fiery shades of red. The 5 lobed foliage has an attractive, classic Maple shape and is dark green in summer before transforming for its autumn show. Small red flowers and winged fruits add further seasonal interest.
Acer rubrum 'Fairview Flame' will grow to 7 x 4 metres in 20 years and prefers a moist well-drained soil in full sun. It is ideal as a striking autumnal specimen tree or for avenue planting.
